Friends, crushes and more... (Part 2, Revised)

As soon as i turn around, i am shocked. My heart stops for a moment. I am not able to see properly because of the crowd, but i know i saw Anamika there. I rush to the spot , just outside the hut, only to find Anamika standing right in the middle of the road and just inches from her is a killer local transport bus. As soon i go there, she hugs me. She is as shocked as me, actually even more shocked. We both come out of the crowd and into the hut. I am so angry at her for being so careless while crossing the road but all that goes off seeing her cute, innocent, scared face.

It was Rohit’s treat as he was leaving aricent. We all had been to the dinner at the food court. After the dinner all were returning .Everyone was busy discussing something - crushes, affairs, etc, etc and suddenly we heard a car come to a screeching halt . And in the middle of the road , there she is standing, Prachi, as scared as a cat. I donno wat or about whom she was thinkin while crossing the road. She had misjudged while crossing the road. Luckily , for her, the driver was a good guy.

Whats up wid the girls? Why cant they be careful while crossing the streets. As i see Anamika’s scared and tensed face , i forget that i was angry on her .She looks even cuter when scared. ”I want to see you soon”, she had said over the phone. As soon as she sits, she holds my hand with tear filled eyes and says, “My office is shifting.”.”Where?”.”From Whitefield to ITPL.” “So?”.”I wont be with you all day den. I’ll miss you so much Aayush.” I would still be a phone call away and ITPL and whitefield are not very far places in Bengaluru. But still she misses me. How sweet!!! But i donno y is dis a big reason to worry. We can still meet daily and life is not finished. Girls tend to be so sensitive.

It was our graduation day at Nalanda. After all the cultural program , cake cutting and the fun, it was time for the results. All were eagerly waiting for that, when came the announcement,“Two people have not cleared the test – one is Meena and other is ....”. I don’t think many heard the other name. Most of the class was looking at meena, at the last bench. It was kind of open secret that she could not control her emotions. The tears which started then went on till the next day evening. According to her, she was incapable of doing anything just because she din score passing percent in the training exam. Not even the whole class of people could console her. It took few days for her to be normal. That exam was nothing compared to exam of life. Why do girls have to be so serious about everything is a question i still cannot find answer to, even though i ‘ve been with Anamika for long.

I somehow convince her but Anamika is not completely convinced. Anyways she is at least trying to smile now. We start our lunch and as we are having one of the cute girls i saw sometime back comes near our table. She is smiling like she is the most happiest person in the world and yes, she is. Her smile reminds me of another person’s smile – Shilpa of Nalanda. She has this most beautiful smile. Her 1000 watt smile is like that of a miss world contestant who has won the miss best smile award. And she is the most mature person i had ever met in Nalanda. She is literally beauty with brains, i must say. She and rima were always together – Rima, another beauty with brains. She was very famous for her laughter and even more famous for her mimicry of Mr. Rabu. Mr. Rabu had this unique accent of speaking English and she used to mimic him to perfection. We also used to cal her 8GB because she had a cell phone with 8GB memory and she never lost any opportunity of reminding us of that. She had a famous phrase – “abe jhandu, chaped padegi tereko”. She addressed this phrase most of the times to Vandy.

As we are eating i crack a joke , infact a PJ just to cheer Anamika up. She says “thu , nin PJ antoo horrible. ”(tumhara pj toh horrible hai). At least it makes her laugh, what i want. Another person was famous in Nalanda for the “thu” word – Harshita. If anybody teased her, immediately came from her mouth “ye thu vogo.” Roughly translated in hindi means “abe jaa” but in a much lighter note. Sam used to get these a lot because he used to crack a lot of PJ’s in front of her. After any pj she would say “yappa PJ”, as if to remind us to stop. She was silently intelligent, she was mature but still kinda childish.

By the time we finish its almost eve. The sun has gone down and orange sunlight has filled in the place. We can see sunrays cutting through the clouds. The road is empty, with few dry leaves flying around for the light wind thats blowing. This atmosphere is making me so damn romantic. We both walk together down the road, holding hands and not talking a word, but with the satisfaction of having the most memorable conversation of life. A walk to remember!!!

Another walk to remember would be one in Gurgaon. We were all coming from another good treat. We would treat ourselves a lot. We were passing through a Benz showroom, when someone said “I wish i owned a Benz car”. Ahmed khan, who was in his own world, quickly asked “which car? Maruti Suzuki Benz??” Everyone burst into laughter. As we were talking and walking, Meena started asking everyone who they thought was the best in our batch, whom they admired a lot, or basically who they had a crush on. I thought it was weird to ask someone that, but also somewhere in my mind hoped that at least someone took my name... :p It was then everyone started taking names. Ahmed khan thought Rima was best and so did Vandy. Vandy also thought PD was best. PD thought Rohit was handsome. Sam thought both Bharath and Bharati were best, though he actually liked jardariya, which we later came to know. Harshita was silent. May be she was confused, or afraid, or shy to tell. Meena herself didn’t take any name which she thought was best. That day i came to know many other things too. :).

We all had been on a trip to Agra. On way we had breakfast at a road side dhaba. Everyone had breakfast and came out nds Vinay was incharge of all the paying. I was washing hands and Prachi was just finishing. As soon as Vinay saw the bill ,”Ye kya yaar, kitna khate ho tum, dahi lao, curd lao, chole lao bolke itna kha liya, kitna bill aaya hai dyeko”. He was yelling at Prachi. Ofcourse he had a reason to yell because the bill was 700 something for 7 people, but i was surprised he was yelling at Prachi. She was too beautiful to be yelled at. Me and Prachi were seeing him with our mouth open – she was surprised because he was YELLING at her and i was surprised because he was yelling at HER. Later he told he was trying to freak her out, which she was. That scene where he is yelling at her is like a photograph in my mind. Agra trip also reminds of the famous song by our very own Vinay. His has a good voice, i must say, but his lyrics are not very good. He sang a popular song like this –“pehla nashaa pehlaa hua, nayya pyaar ka nayya yentezaarr, Kar langa maye tujhse pyaar...” We all busrted in laughter as we heard this song... What PJ lyrics. Talk of pj and how can anyone forget Vandy. He was the PJ king in Nalanda. I actually learnt a lot about Pj’s from him.If you want to learn PJ’s, he is the guy you must be with. He is a nice guy to be with, a jovial guy. He throws out pj’s roughly at the rate of one evry 5 min, so we are constantly laughing when with him.

I hated that day the most. We were all in Nalanda, it would be our last day. We were supposed to return back to Bengaluru the next day , so we’d been to meet everyone.Sam had just won “Best peer” award during graduation day. Entire class had voted for him. He was very popular, especially amoung girls, and girls were majority in our batch. So no other guy had any chance to win. He was popular amoung guys too – on every birthday celebrated in class he also shared the pain of the birthday boy. Sam got birthday bums on every birthday.
We were sitting and chatting in our class. 3 more people joined us – Vandy, prachi and meena. We chatted with them for some time and started saying good bye to all to leave when they opened their bags and presented us these memorable gifts. We were so ashamed that we didn’t get anything for them. That was the day i never wanted to see again, parting from someone we are so close to, but i cant choose my fate.

I never even dreamt that this would repeat again. We were holding hands so that we never be parted, forever. I couldn’t see her clearly because my eyes were filled with tears and i never cared to wipe the tears off because i didn’t want to remove my hands off hers. I just wanted to hold them tightly. But i had no other option. I had to leave her hand. It was not what i wished for but God gave me no other choice. I just wished we were together, forever and ever....

Friends, crushes and more...

Sitting on my bed with my laptop and watching Katrina gyrate for a popular song and hot coffee in my hand after an authentic south Indian dinner. There is nothing better i can ask on a Saturday afternoon. Suddenly i hear “Tujhme rab dikhta hai yaara mai kya karoo”. Ah, what a nice song, i say to myself before i realise that its my cell phone ringing. I pick up the call. “Sir am i speaking to Mr. Aayush?”. “Yes”.”Sir as u r our preferred customer  we are offering you a lifetime free credit card blah blah... ”. “No i am not interested.” and I cut the call. I think of talking to the sweet voice for some more time though i have no intention of buying their bullshit card but then the picture of Anamika flashes. She wouldn’t mind but her voice is sweeter than the credit card girl’s. :)The ringtone sure does remind me of old days. Anamika is , by the way, my girlfriend.:)...
Our graduation day at Nalanda, our training center, few years ago. We had planned a few funny scenes. The opening scene was introduction with one person representing each part of the country our batch trainees came from. The performance began wid a message of National Integration, we can say - there was stylish Rajnikant from Madurai , cool dude from Bengaluru,a very strong Punjabi munda and very studious Bihari guy. But it was the  train(ee) from Delhi who got the most cheers from the crowd, because of his. YES, HIS thumkas thumkas (for those who don’t know much hindi, thumka is rhythmic movement of hip). Log to deewane ho gaye the,  behosh ho gaye the Ahmed Khan ke  thumke ke.. :p .
How can any1 forget practicing for the mad ad .We were planning of making a remix of any popular bollywood song with all the technical terms for our mad ad to add fun to the show. Thats why we came up wid “Na kuch  socha, na kuch maanga Maine tujhko compile kar diya. Tu hi meri makefile hai , tu hi executable hai aur kuch na jaanu main bas itna hi jaanu ,Tujhme output dikhta hai yaara main kya karoon”, which we finally used in the mad ad. But we had come up with many other songs. I had come up with a remix of the song “Jab se tere naina” but it turned out to be a complete double meanings with all the technical terms i used :P, by slip of tongue, of course. I still cant stop laughing at that song. Vardhman or Vandy, as we called him, after hearing the song was like “abe tu chup kar . tu remix mat kar please.”J. I actually din stop makin funny remixes of songs but stopped singing them aloud.:p
Again i hear the same ringtone. “Anamika calling...”. This will be another costly weekend for me i say to myself and receive the call . “Hi sonu ...... y?...... but, ok.....ok.Give me a call wen u come here.”. Yes she is coming here. She seemed worried. I wear the next shirt that i can see and leave.
I am sitting in the Pizza hut waiting for Anamika. I’ve already had lunch but having again to spend some quality time with her. I see at my watch and look at the door feeling bored, when two very beautiful girls enter the store. Many eyes in the store are on them until they occupy their seats, including mine. These girls must be from delhi, i say to myself.
In Nalanda, whenever a girl enetered the class noone cared, but when the girl was Delhite, every guy in the class, stopped his work and  looked at her till she setteled. Some would ask help only from her, even when help was available right beside dem. Any queries would go only to the beautiful spoc, a girl,  from delhi and not to the other spoc, a guy, sitting right beside us.
Two very cute little girls are playing some game in Pizza hut. I watch them. It looks like they are playing that game, which we used to play a lot, whats it called..... shit i cant recall its name....... Yes.. DC
Time management was a part of teaching at Nalanda. We were taught not to waste time, and we followed that very strictly. We always played DC during free time. Nothing could stop us from playing. DC and SAM, or majnu as we called him, are very much interrelated.  Sam was very good in performing “Main Madhuri Dixit banna chahti hoon”. He did it for full 10 min while we enjoyed his actions. He even gyrated a bit.  But none of us could guess the movie. Thats because we didn’t want to guess the movie correctly and spoil the fun, as we all knew the movie. We just wanted to see how he performed. Uske thumke to classic pose ho gaye , just like the classic pose of Merylin Monroe.:)...
And yes the online DC. We invented the game. Actually Rima and me coinvented the game. For those who donno what this is , its a game played by two or more people , who are not in talkin distances, in a communicator like gmail or ym or ofc. Each participant converts a hindi song to English and vice versa and the oder participant has to guess it. If you think this is easy, try guessing this one – “today the day is naughty, there is fire in water, the heart is beatin restlessly, come come come come...”:p.. There were more funny ones , like – “Aaoa kuch shining laaye, aao mauj manaaye, aao jashna manaaye. Aa lachak lachak lachak”, “swing properly swing “. Those translations were so damn funny... J
I have already ordered and have been impatiently waiting for Anamika watching these two cute girls play, when i hear a screeching niose from outside. I turn around to see what has happened only to be shocked... OMG
To be continued...
